Hearts Banquet

My heart craves for the meal that love serves,
Famished and left hungry by the last Banquet,
Teased by the ever passing entrees that make their way to other hearts tables,
My heart has had it's share of before dinner rolls,
but with those fullness cannot be reached.

My heart dines with my mind and my mind shares the hearts will,
But while the heart maybe ready, the mind is still paying the last meals bill,
The mind Knows it's just like the other, just another repeat,
The mind knows the meal doesn't last forever, but the heart thinks it's All-you-can-eat

But why can't the heart think like that and have aspirations of good relations,
Because the brain knows the truth and realizing reality is his occupation,
The heart thinks of only fairy tale meals, those meals that last forever,
The mind used to think that way until the last meal supply was severed,

So the heart sits and waits for his order to be filled,
And the mind will eat with the heart until the next "all-you-can-eat" is proved unreal.
